LAND OWNER TRANSPARENCY REGISTRY DOCUMENTS

The Land Owner Transparency Registry was established by the BC Government to end hidden ownership of land and crack down on fraud. It is governed by the Land Owner Transparency Act. The Act sets out that all transfers in land require a land owner transparency declaration to accompany the transfer. If the transferee is a corporation, trust, or other reporting body as set out in Land Owner Transparency Act, Coastal Notary Group also prepares and files a land owner transparency report.

If you owned land prior to the initiation of the Land Owner Transparency Registry in 2020, and are considered a reporting body like a corporation or trust, Coastal Notary Group can assist you to file a land owner transparency report.
