Marine Documents

Coastal Notary Group can work with you to purchase a marine vessel and transfer the license of a pleasure craft or file registration with the Canadian Register of Vessels.

You’re required to register a vessel in the Canadian Register of Vessels if it:

  • is a commercial vessel with a gross tonnage of 15 or more and powered by motors totaling 7.5 kW (10 horsepower) or more
  • will have a marine mortgage
  • needs a reserved name
  • will travel outside of Canada

Coastal Notary Group can also assist with notarizing a statutory declaration to register a please craft if you do not have documents to prove that you own the pleasure craft. The declaration states why you cannot produce the bill of sale or proof of ownership.
